Jon and I got back from Duckon 19 in Naperville, IL last night. This was my third Duckon, and, as usual, I loved it!
Folks there sport some very fashionable ears!

Jon and I also got to hang out with authors Stephen Zimmer, who blogged about Duckon here, and Chris Gerrib, wo blogged about Duckon here.
Big shout outs to Tammy Jo, Deirdre, Orange Mike, Dancing Bob, “Retired” Con Director Drew, Dale Cozort & daughter (who hooked me even more on the new Dr. Who), Bill from the Chicago WorldCon Bid, Matt Duhan, Chris Morgan, Nnedi Okorafo, and all of the rest of the zany Duckon gang!

Indy Movie Moguls!

Dale Cozort has written a cool story about interdimensional exchanges!

New Wiki Entries: Knightshade and the Tundra Frog!
By Smerd on March 5th, 2010Posted In: Smerd's Blog
Martin “Marty” Jackson, aka the Tundra Frog, is a relatively small time villain whose nefarious activities tend to involve get-rich-quick schemes rather than mass destruction or world domination. He simply sees no reason to use his powers for anything other than attaining his own wealth.
How he came about his powers is unknown. Did he have latent “super” genes? Are his powers the result of an accident or experimentation? It is unrevealed at this time.
He does seem to have a rather odd assortment of powers: earth control, cold generation, and hyper-leaping.
It’s readily apparent that Marty doesn’t take himself too seriously, though, since he adopted the moniker “The Tundra Frog” and wears a costume to match, including swim fins.

DragonTalk Radio: “Abyss Walker” Author Shane Moore!
By Smerd on February 4th, 2010Posted In: Smerd's Blog
Tonight, my biographer Jon Klement launched a BlogTalkRadio show called DragonTalk (named after moi, I believe). You can find the show at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/jonklement.
Few fantasy epics have burst onto the scene like Shane Moore’s “Abyss Walker” series. After twelve years in police work and an impressive semi-pro football career, Shane embraced his childhood passion for creating epic fantasy stories. The result was a compelling series that has gained a huge following. Tune in as we explore his background, his influences, and what’s next for this exciting author!
